Intramuscular Vitamin D injection at high dose gives long lasting results

An article published in 2017 showed that intramuscular injection at high dose (600,00 IU) provided long lasting results in patients Vitamin D levels without dramatically altering other metabolic markers.  This research shows that providing a patient with the option to take a single injection instead of daily dosing creates favorable levels of Vitamin D.

Vitamin D provides benefits for:

  • Healthy teeth and bones
  • regulating insulin levels
  • supporting immunity
  • supporting brain health
  • supporting lung function
  • supporting cardiovascular function

Symptoms that may signal low vitamin D levels

  • fatigue
  • mood changes
  • hair loss
  • muscle pain
  • recurrent infection
  • altered wound healing

Encouraging the patient population to maintain Vitamin D levels provides a means in which a patient can maintain health and prevent being sick.
